Returns & Refunds Policy

Overview

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains your rights and our procedures regarding returns and refunds.

This policy applies to all purchases made through the Polish Atheneum (polishatheneum.com).

Returns by Region

European Union and United Kingdom

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of delivery
  • You must return the item within 14 days of notifying us

United States, Canada, and Other Regions

For customers outside the European Union and United Kingdom:

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery
  • Items must meet the eligibility conditions outlined below

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with this policy.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be in unused and resalable condition
  • Items must be returned in their original packaging (where applicable)

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

Digital products (eBooks)

Once a digital product has been accessed or downloaded, it is non-refundable

Damaged or altered items

Items damaged after delivery due to misuse

Return Process

Returns are handled regionally. Return addresses will be provided based on the order’s fulfillment location (US, EU, UK). To initiate a return:

  • Contact us at orders@polishatheneum.com with:
    • your order number
    • the item(s) you wish to return
  • We will provide return instructions
  • You will then send the item to the address provided

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect. This applies to all regions.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days
  • We may withhold reimbursement until:
    • the returned goods are received, or
    • you provide proof of return shipment
    Refunds do not include original shipping costs, unless the item is defective or incorrect.

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item:

  • Contact us within a reasonable time after delivery
  • Provide details and, if possible, photos
  • We will:
    • offer a replacement, or
    • issue a full refund

In such cases, we will cover any return shipping costs where applicable. For international returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any associated customs charges unless the item is defective or incorrect.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received a refund:

  • Check your bank or payment provider
  • Contact your payment provider (processing times may vary)
  • If the issue persists, contact us at orders@polishatheneum.com

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to exchange an item:

  • return the original item
  • place a new order
